What it will take for Hal Rogers to win.

Hal Rogers' re-election depends on several "ifs". His KY Fifth District has a Democratic registered voters majority. If Democrats break ranks and vote for the Republican, he will win. If a significant number of Democrats want the U.S. to keep sending our sons and daughters off to war in Iraq, then Hal will win. If a significant number of Democrats want government agents making warrantless wiretaps of their telephone conversations, then Hal will win. If a significant number of Democrats want a ten trillion dollar Federal debt, then Hal will win. If the Fifth District Republican minority will stand solidly behind the candidate that advocates the United States participation in the neverending war in Iraq, the candidate that votes to uphold warrantless Federal wiretapping, the candidate whose budgetary voting record is so bad that he got a "zero" rating from TRIM the taxpayers' organization, the candidate who had been called "A National Disgrace" in the National Review, the candidate who has gotten a "zero" rating from the Disabled American Veterans, then the Republicans will vote for four more years of Hal Rogers mismanagement. There is just one poll that counts--that poll the first Tuesday in November. I ask your readers to vote "NO" on Hal Rogers, and vote for Democrat Kenneth Stepp for U.S. House KY-05 in the Democratic Primary and in the November general election.
